Boardgames in Blighty Kickstarter News 9/5/15 – If I had the cash I’d look at…

In my view, Kickstarter has been going through a bland phase for new board game projects but after a few weeks of yawning, I spotted the following…

This looks like an unusual and fun little card based game which you can play with non-gamers. It’s a bargain too. It doesn’t appear to be EU friendly though so customs may bite.

Can you survive a journey into the world’s most feared swamp? A perilously fun card game for 2-4 adventurers.

You’ve been hired to collect a rare herb found deep in the heart of one of the world’s most deadly swamps. Together with your newly acquainted team, you must navigate this dangerous environment in a tiny boat to find the legendary plant before night falls or something more sinister finds you first…

Er… that’s it really. Oh well. Nothing else jumps out. There are a number of unoriginal games that will generate funds because  have they mini’s which drive the cost up.

Note to game project owners: You don’t need miniatures. They are window dressing and they make your game far less accessible due to price. Also. If you haven’t taken the trouble to get EU distribution, you will put off a lot of your potential audience due to possible custom charges.

  1. Rivcoach: Thanks for posting this! I’m Dennis Hoyle from the Swamped Campaign and I’d be happy to answer any questions you or your readers may have about the game. Also, even though Swamped will not ship from within the EU, it will have a declared value of $12, so it is not likely to get caught with any additional customs fees.
