Kickstarter update 21/4/14 – If I had the cash I’d probably look into…

Nice to see so new creative ideas coming along on Kickstarter and these are the new projects that I find interesting.

Cops & Robbers the card game

The game of corrupt criminals, devious deals and gripping getaways.

Have you ever wanted to be a criminal mastermind but can never find the time for it in your busy schedule? Have you ever fantasized about making a daring getaway but just find your cheap bicycle is too rusty and broken to reach that top gear? Well your prayers have been answered. Now you can do all this from the safety and comfort of your favourite sitting place. Time to make that seat groove a little more worn while you sit down with your mates for a great game of “Cops and Robbers”; the safe way to rob a bank.

Nice to see something a little different which looks like a fun social game, pretty light for introducing non-gamers and plenty of interaction. All with a nice price.

Paranormal Investigation

I’d only look at this more seriously if I lived in the US as it seems that the international shipping makes this one overpriced for what is little more than a deck of cards. Shame really, had the project owners organised bulk and international distribution it would have been more attractive.

But props for an interesting departure with evocative art compared to the usual KS fodder.

Paranormal Investigation pits your powers of deduction against those of your opponents. Using your initial glances at the face down mystery cards, and your opponents actions, try to deduce which cards meet your objective as an investigator.

Flick Wars

This one looks like fair value, even internationally and what’s more, it seems like good dexterity based fun. The game mat really makes it worth a look for me.

Flick Wars plays from 2-4 players and takes 10 minutes per player to play. This is a dexterity flicking game, and the board is your table. Setup is fast –  give each player the discs and cards in their colour. All the factions have a unique unit distribution and their own special power. The goal of the game is to eliminate all your opponent’s units by deploying and out manoeuvring your opponent.

That’s it for this week folks!
